Artist Profile: Diane Archer, 2-D Mixed Media

Diane received an MFA from Kent State University in 1997 and has been making a living as an artist ever since. She came to Oregon in 1999 to be an Artist in Residence at the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology just north of Lincoln City, and eleven years later, she’s still there. Diane is most known for the use of found objects and topographical maps in her work. She says that the maps speak about various places we inhabit; physical, emotional & spiritual.
